Central Church - People Experiencing Homelessness

Galveston Central Church opens-up their facility to all, including people experiencing homelessness, providing a warm meal, hot shower, laundry services, bike repair, and partnership to empower them in their journey of life. Service as a general volunteer. No religious events associated with the service or required for participation. Please make sure to watch video associated with this session prior to volunteering.

Our Daily Bread - Service for Unhoused

CHRISTUS Our Daily Bread provides nutritious meals, clean clothing, personal hygiene, mental health, and medical services to the community, many of whom are experiencing homelessness. You will serve as a general volunteer, a big need is helping in the kitchen for food preparation.

Sight for All Vision Clinic

Students will help with general eye health screening, visual acuity tests, glasses fittings (taking measurements for bifocals, pupil distance, etc.), and possibly help with refractions and eye pressure testing. No prior experience is necessary, you will be trained upon arrival. Home-Bound Deliveries

To deliver groceries & hygiene supplies to over 140 families in crisis that have no mode of transportation on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in personal vehicles & alongside with other volunteers. Dress weather appropriate with active wear & closed toed shoes. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. use personal vehicles & work with other volunteer.
