Dr. Megan Berman is an Associate Professor of Internal Medicine and faculty with the Sealy Institute forf Vaccine Sciences at UTMB. She received her medical degree from Loyola University in Chicago and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. She practices both as a hospitalist at Jennie Sealy Hospital and as an ambulatory physician at the Primary Care Pavilion in Galveston.

Her expertise is in preventive medicine and chronic disease management. Shannon Guillot-Wright, PhD is Vice Chair of Research and Health Policy in the Department of Family Medicine, UTMB. She also serves as faculty in UTMB’s Center for Violence Prevention. Her program of research focuses on structural violence, with a particular emphasis on exploring the use of research evidence in health policymaking. Her research methodology is ethnographic in nature, including photovoice and digital storytelling. A lifelong Texan, Grayson R. Jackson was raised in Grapevine and attended Baylor University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 2020. At Baylor, Grayson studied biology, public health, and medical humanities as a University Scholar and completed the Honors Program and the Baylor Interdisciplinary Core while maintaining a perfect GPA. Haris Pepermintwala is a 4th year MD/MPH student who applied to pediatrics/psychiatry/child psychiatry, categorical psychiatry, and combined psychiatry/child psychiatry residency programs. He is passionate about health inequities, gender affirming care, and child abuse pediatrics.

Diane Saab is a Master of Public Health student graduating this May from the University of Texas Medical Branch. She has had early exposure to medical education within the Office of Community Engagement and Interprofessional Education. She looks forward to gain and share valuable insights and knowledge throughout this conference and hopefully expand her experience and involvement as an incoming medical student at UT Southwestern.

Dr. Siddiqui earned her medical degree at Texas A&M Health Science Center. She completed her post-graduate training in the Combined Internal Medicine/General Preventive Medicine Residency Program at UTMB in 2017. Dr. Wilkerson is an Assistant Professor in the Division of General Medicine. She is a clinician educator working with medical students and residents in the school of medicine and in community safety net clinics.
