The "Stories at the Bedside" program aims to enhance patient-centered communication and humanistic care. Participants learn to engage patients in conversations to identify their personal values, interests, and support systems, moving beyond their medical diagnosis. The core activity involves medical students creating a personalized bedside poster for patients, highlighting aspects of their life that bring them joy and are important to them. This poster serves as a tool for the care team to connect with patients more meaningfully, fostering rapport and personalizing care while respecting patient autonomy and privacy. The program emphasizes active listening, thoughtful communication, and capturing meaningful patient stories to improve the overall patient experience. Dress Code is scrubs only. more consice
