Volunteer with BLAST to mentor 3rd – 4th grade students through hands-on STEM experiments and research. Medical students work alongside teachers to guide students through experiments, scientific discovery, and research projects. Volunteers will: • Lead hands-on science activities • Mentor students through research projects • Help students prepare for the BLAST Research Symposium at UTMB • Gain experience in teaching, communication, and community engagement This is an active, hands-on volunteer opportunity designed for medical students who want to make a meaningful impact in the Galveston community.
