CHRISTUS Our Daily Bread provides nutritious meals, clean clothing, personal hygiene, mental health, and medical services to the community, many of whom are experiencing homelessness. You will serve as a general volunteer, a big need is helping in the kitchen for food preparation. Dress Code: Wear comfortable, modest clothing that you don't mind getting dirty. Closed-toe, non-slip shoes are required. Long hair should be tied back, and loose jewelry should be avoided. Aprons, gloves, and hairnets will be provided as needed.

By partnering with Libbie's Place, you’ll play a key role in providing meaningful engagement for older adults experiencing a decline in independence while gaining valuable experience for your medical career.

The Harmony Healers program is an opportunity for students, faculty, and staff to come together to perform music for patients in the hospital and increase patient morale. Soloists (or duets if you prefer to prepare with another person in advance) who sing and/or play an instrument are welcome to attend these sessions to prepare and perform music for patients. When you arrive, you will receive information about the role of music in healing and some logistical information. Afterwards, you will go up to your assigned unit and perform for patients until 4:00pm. You should have a few pieces of music memorized to perform for patients.
