We promote this to families with children under three years. We will advertise "Healthy Snacks." Volunteers will work on books from 1:30 to 2:30. The families will be invited from 2:30 to 3:30. We will begin inside the cafeteria with the families with healthy snacks, reading aloud, and giving every family three books to keep. Then we will go outside, weather permitting. to play on the Born Learning Trail sidewalk, plant a seed, and read more. The United Way-Galveston has been creating "Born Learning Trails" around Galveston and one of these is right in front of Parker Elementary on the sidewalk. It is essentially a colorfully painted sidewalk with information for parents about movement ideas for the little ones. We thought it would be a good opportunity to use the resource and make parents aware of this feature.
