Overcomers Outreach will be hosting their very first event for the underserved and unhoused community members this upcoming Saturday. Community members will be sharing testimonies, there will be hot plates to serve, sandwich packs, a DJ, moonwalks for our children etc. We will need hands to help with all things, setting up, breaking down, volunteers to help with our multiple tents that will be donating kids and adults’ shoes and clothes, sharing resources, hygiene packs, back packs, and so much more! UTMB Volunteers will help SMART staff teach families with young children how to grow their own food. We will harvest and taste what we pick. We will teach how to make a salad or a smoothie at the SMART Garden. If you don't already know what to do, no worries, because we will show you. Text Liz at (409) 771-4155 if you have questions.
