Mobile clinic for commercial fishermen at the fishing docks near UTMB on Harborside. Most fishermen speak Vietnamese, and some are unsheltered. As a volunteer, you will be assisting the RN in screening for high blood pressure, providing education, or performing wound care.

The Harmony Healers program is an opportunity for students, faculty, and staff to come together to perform music for patients in the hospital and increase patient morale. Soloists (or duets if you prefer to prepare with another person in advance) who sing and/or play an instrument are welcome to attend these sessions to prepare and perform music for patients. When you arrive, you will receive information about the role of music in healing and some logistical information. Afterwards, you will go up to your assigned unit and perform for patients until 4:00pm. You should have a few pieces of music memorized to perform for patients.
