Volunteers will help parents and children plant seeds and seedlings, water the plants, and engage in healthy, educational hands-on activities, such as making bubbles, drawing with chalk, experimenting with simple science tools, such as magnifying glasses and prisms.
UTMB Volunteers will help SMART staff teach families with young children how to grow their own food. We will harvest and taste what we pick. We will teach how to make a salad or a smoothie at the SMART Garden. If you don't already know what to do, no worries, because we will show you. Text Liz at (409) 771-4155 if you have questions.
